I was blown away by how good EVERYTHING was!! I ordered the pancakes and pork and my boyfriend got the pacific sunrise omelet. And OMG they were both so much better than we could have imagined! The service was top notch, our server suggested some great options that did not disappoint. Even the herbal tea she suggested was so delicious Moroccan mint and golden something or other... I live super far, but this place is worth the drive. It’s not cheap, but it’s not expensive. And they definitely don’t skimp on the food.

First time back since the renaming and had the "Pork and Pancakes" . These pancakes were amazing! It's comparable to eating a pulled pork sandwich which has fluffy pancakes as the bun . I recommend adding a side of barbecue sauce ,didnt need the maple syrup. Definitely a must try for those foodies who like salty and sweet!

Yummy place. They have great breakfast. It's pricey if you compare it to IHOP but ambience and services are better. $4 coffee isn't cheap. Breakfast and coffee will set you back about $25 to $30 after taxes and tips. That's IHOP for 2! But look at pictures! Oh so yummy. Lunch and dinner are great too.

Lovely upscale spot with attentive knowledgeable staff. I went on a Sunday, there was a line, but as I was dining alone my wait was very short. My delicious cappuccino came with a heart. I ordered the Breakfast BLT with hash browns. The sandwich was very tasty with strong fresh herb flavorings (basil I think). Eggs, bacon, tomato, basil?, lettuce, all the flavors worked well together. I asked for no parmesan. Hashbrowns were ok. I finished it off with a spot of tea - golden nectar herbal with rose petals. Delightful & flavorful!

Pork and Pancakes. Always a risk for someone from the KC metro area to order anything claiming to be BBQ, but this dish is close to the real thing. Layered pancake, pulled pork, pancake, pulled pork, pancake, pulled pork and topped with a runny egg. the pork is sweet, and that works as a breakfast item. Staff was attentive without hovering. Nice place.

This Breakfast was so good! Best tasting Crispy delicious tasting Hash Browns I have ever had and Bacon and eggs was all perfect!

Went here on a Sunday late morning. Had a bit of a wait, about 30 minutes. The service was fantastic and the food was delicious. We had the chilaquiles and the ground beef omelette with mixed greens. The outside of the omelette doesn't look like much but inside is a hidden treasure! The sourdough toast is amazing.

My... how they have changed. I ve experienced this place before, in the 80s.....it was good then!!BUT CHANGE IS GOOD!! THE Food...is a welcome change to the ordinary....dont hesitate... it should be on the list of things to do. Regularly.

Excellent location and easy to see, restrooms, lots of parking with disabled section, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Incredible food with nice size portions. Kids menu and chairs. "A" standard rating. Full bar, desserts, and appetizers. Back again today on thurs. In may around 1, had to wait crowded. ordered huevo dish very good.

I wasn't sure about this place but once I was inside ot felt like a New/Cafe. Food was good. Servers were so friendly and helpful. It is a nice place to have an extended lunch, chat & relax.

What a great neighbor restaurant. The food and service are really good. Each time I come here, the staff are all very friendly, polite, and attentive.The meatball pasta is perfectly cooked. There's cheese inside the meatball also...bonus! The short rib is one of my favorite dishes here.

Everything about this place is premium and well done. The bread on the sandwiches was super fresh and perfectly toasted. The tomato soup is not too creamy, which I like. The French fries had a fresh potato taste, light and just the right amount of crunch and salt.The environment is nice and relaxed. It is very easy to have a comfortable meal and leave completely satisfied.

the first time i have ever had pulled pork on my pancakes with a fried egg on top was at this location and it was deliciously incredible. i have had the same plate at two other restaurants and they pale in comparison to the stack of pancakes and pork that i got here. i hope to come back soon and have this again as it almost looks as good as it tastes

Average food, but very close to the business parks around the area. If it wasn't close to work I probably would not come here. A little pricey.

Amazing dinner! Wish the deviled eggs were more. 5 half’s? What happens to the other half? Food is always good and brussel sprouts are bomb. Service is always top notch and drinks are solid! We will be back!

Omelettes were delicious and portions were big according to me. Coffee was great, people were very nice. We liked this place so much and had breakfast for 3 days. Also my daughter loved pancakes in kids menu.

Very clean, the atmosphere is 'traditional trendy' if the self-invented term makes sense at all. :) This fits the Marina Del Rey neighborhood where there are large number of wealthy retirees AND trendy younger people and families. The staff is well trained, nice and professional. The food is acceptable, but is missing a 'trendy' variety (for example, I was surprised Avocado Toast wasn't on the morning menu). Definitely a good place for eating alone, or have a chat with friend.

We always have wonderful experiences here. The French Toast is divine. The ambiance is bright and the wait staff are all good looking!

Been going to J. Nichole's since it opened. This restaurant is wonderful with imaginative, flavorful, well presented, and an excellent menu selection. All at reasonable price. Breakfast is a treat especially the home made muffins and strawberry jam. Lunch and dinner have great selections all very tasty. If you are a burger lover, Hands down the J. Nichols Classic Burger is one if not the best in town.If you are looking for a good atmosphere, pleasant service, great well prepared unique food, at a reasonable price this is the right place to go.

Lovely place. Great pancakes. My friend didn't care for her egg sandwich, and she said their coffee is terrible.

Was a long wait for a table on a sunday at noon(to be expected), sat at bar since it was open to walk in sit down. Seats at bar for lower and upper were a little short forcing you to raise your arms quite a bit to eat. My french dip was very good and the wait staff were friendly and on the ball as well.

Enjoy every visit every time. Friendly place. Great for family time.

Went here twice for brunch and got the same thing both times because it was so delicious: the fried egg and arugula sandwich. Definitely pricey here but so fricken good I can justify it... Also stole some sweet potato fries off my friend’s plate — heaven!

The food quality is good but it is very pricey. The service is just ok for the price that they charged. I got a pulled pork pancake and looked interesting. The pancakes are the best and highly recommended, however, the BBQ sauce from the pulled pork was great on first bite, then the sauce just too strong and not able to taste perfect pancakes.

We stopped in for brunch when we were in the area based on a friend's recommendation and really enjoyed it. They had a lot of interesting choices so we had a tough time deciding, but went with a goat cheese scramble and the pulled pork pancakes since they sounded so unique! The scramble was perfectly cooked, well-seasoned, light and delicious. The pulled pork pancakes were a tall order (I've posted a picture as well, you'll see what I mean) but very delicious. There was a 20 minute wait on a Sunday early afternoon and for good reason. Great staff, great food - would recommend!

Excellent modestly priced American food with good service. Many choices of wine by the glass. The Key Lime pie is spectacular.

Stopped into J Nichols Kitchen for some lunch and got a seriously delicious Meatloaf entree with sides of mashed potatoes and green beans. Everything was fresh, homemade and delicious. The staff was super friendly, on it and the atmosphere was comfy and warm. Give it a try, next time I will order the hot turkey sandwich to let you guys know!

Finally a great diner in Marina del Rey!!! This place is always filled with locals and has an excellent vibe. The cheese chorizo dip was very tasty and filling and we really enjoyed the pretzel. The Kung Pao chicken was also delicious and the club turkey sandwich with the sour dough bread was amazing.

I've only come here for breakfast. Love the decor and booth seating. Great service. They never try to rush us out. Love the fried egg sandwich, scrambles, and avocado toast. They allow substitutions But be prepared to pay. $$$

It was good. I'm not sure what more to say, than it was average / good. I ordered the Chinese Chicken salad. It was just a salad. The Chinese slaw at California Chicken cafe is significantly better, if you wanted a comparison. Bellini was ok.. and most everyone there ordered sandwiches and fries. Older crowd.

Great food and all around great service! We go here often for breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner. Ignore the fact that it’s in a Pavilions parking lot because it’s worth the wait for their delicious dishes! Would highly recommend the meatloaf!

Diner has been upgraded in the past couple years pretty swanky interior, very busy - friendly and attentive staff always running around I had the classic eggs benedict and split it with my sister who got the veggie eggs benedict so we each had one. Hash browns were decent not quite amazing. Hollandaise was nothing special but they do make their English muffins in the house. We also had the mournay fondue which came with a lovely soft pretzel roll.

I’ve been coming here for years. This is my favorite breakfast it’s huevos rancheros. Very very good and I also got her a side of toast

Sat at the bar for breakfast and had fantastic service. Everything tasted fresh, the from-scratch English muffins are awesome and the coffee is great.

I have become a breakfast aficionado. This place is great. We had the avocado toast with an egg on top and it was delicious. We also had the French toast which was excellent. The Latte was fantastic. The restaurant was very pretty and super sleek and clean. And the all-important bathroom was meticulous.
